You get a decent level wyvern and its a insta win, you can do whatever quite easily. Lets compare them with wyverns because you need to get eggs from both species. Idk why people are so fond of drakes, they're really bad. Originally posted by =T$ECore= Sarsante:If it takes 5 minutes to kill using a mega will take 10 minites to kill with a drake. but once you get one decent egg you can farm the drake nests easily for a better one. spinos of course mean that you can only do the east nests that dont require ziplines or gliding/climbing. yeah crabs are bad for that glitch, if your trying to get drakes there are better ways, use a couple spinos for instance, or a good pack of ravagers, or even one ravager and just run like hell, you can outrun the drakes. i just lost TWO crabs to them, because as soon as i got to the level ABOVE the eggs, the drakes rushed me and suspended both of the crabs in the air until they were dead. I figured thatd come up and ill be honest, im really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed about drakes right now. plus if you use a drake, when its at low health, you can pull magnifying glass while still riding the drake, check till its under 2k hp, change a fresh suit on if yours is damaged, turn light off and wack the queen with a pick or hatchet while still riding the drake, and the queen will pull you straight off the drake and inpregnate you, so no reason for traps which glitch the impregnating. still had plenty health left when i was done. Some developers use this method, but the results are all over the place.Originally posted by boycey0102:A good drake with decent saddle can easily do reaper queens, i have been impregnated by a 150 using a drake with i think was a 60 armor saddle, there abouts. If done right, this can work but it's way more difficult to get a smooth ramp as velocities increase. I'd never do it this way, but surprisingly quite a few libraries use this method.Īnother approach is where, again, the samples aren't normalized, but they try to combine the velocity layer switching along with velocity-to-amplitude modulationso that it is still ramping up smoothly as it goes. MIDI velocity just switches between them but doesn't control the level of each velocity layer (lowest to highest velocity before switching). The samples aren't normalized, they are played back at their relative gain/levels. This is very smooth and very effective- I use this method with all my custom sounds, and for me it is the way to go.Īnother approach is where there are more velocity layers, say 12-20. One approach is to do say 6-12 velocity layers, but normalize all the samples- then have the dynamics rendered by MIDI velocity- 127 levels of velocity, with sample layers switching on the way up. No way to tell what you're actually getting.Īnother consideration is how the velocity layers are implemented. That's the problem with all these locked players. But, I must admit that the name kind of makes me feel like it's going to go all diva on me and pitch a fit or something. It means for me that for the next week I'm tied up downloading the few remaining JXl patches that I want. I'm a little pissed at the OT policy of only letting you buy one product at a time. I'm looking for other types of drums though too. I tend to like a little less distinctive sounding drums so that I can design my own sound. Though every time I hear Damage 2 demos it just sounds so heavy and not my thing. Probably going to upgrade to Komplete Ultimate so I can get Damage 2 at a discount. Sounds about right and it's Kontakt based.ĭamage 2 is still on the table too. I just got EWSD3 because it does seem to have more content than EWSD2 which is unusable to me due to lack of rr or velocity layers. No way to tell what you're actually getting.
